2017 is apparently the year of Stephen King.

With IT still horrifying audiences and breaking records weeks after release, Netflix is gearing up for two King-adaptations of its own.

The streaming giant released an eerie new trailer for the Thomas Jane-led thriller 1922. It’s based off a novella from the King collection FULL DARK, NO STARS. Jane plays a farmer who kills his wife (Molly Parker) over a fight about moving to the city.

I haven’t read 1922 but the trailer gives off a number of vibes including the 2004 thriller SECRET WINDOW, one I still argue is a solid King adaptation.

As mentioned, this is one of two Netflix movies based off a King property. GERALD’S GAME hits the streaming service September 29th. Buzz for that one appears to be pretty strong.

As for 1922, it hits Netflix October 20th just in time for Halloween.
